YSL Chinese New Year Blush Volupté Palette

YSL Beauty has released the limited edition Chinese New Year Blush Volupté palette (or the Red & Fire Edition palette). Of course as always YSL Beauty has created this gorgeous packaging. The palette aesthetically stays true to the Chinese New Year, with it's celebration of Chinese knotwork, tassels, and rich shades of red and gold.

Inside the palette you will find the Heart of Light powder blush in N°7 Rebelle. A peachy rose-gold tone that will look amazing on any skin tone. The powder blush is formulated with transparent pigments that ensures a subtle, natural-looking flush of color, though it is build-able. While the palette is limited edition, the blush itself is permeant and is part of the "heart of light" collection that debuted back in 2014.

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Oil In Stick

One of my favorite lipsticks are the YSL Rouge Volupté lipsticks. The formula is amazing, they carry a wide assortment of colors, for any occasion, any skin tone. And of course, who could resist the gorgeous packaging? At the moment, I have a good handful of these lipsticks in my make up collection. I know that maybe crazy, but it is what it is and there's no shame in that. Which is why, I went out and purchased 3 more from their new Rouge Voulpté Shine Oil In Stick collection.

The Rouge Voulpté Shine Oil In Stick collection, is different from the Rouge Volupté Shine collection, in that they are 2x more hydrating and contain 65% of oils that will deep condition your lips and improve their texture, after just 4 weeks. They contain pomegranate extract and macadamia butter. You instantly feel your lips hydrated, as you glide it on. These just melt right on your lips. The colors while semi-sheer are build-able. Did I mention how incredible these smell? There are 12 gorgeous shades to choose from. So there's a color, or two, or three, heck buy them all for everyone. But honestly, if I had it my way I'd buy every color, but at $37 USD (€33,95 VAT, here in Italy) a piece, I had to limit myself to only 3 shades from the collection.

The colors I ended up purchasing were: No°51 Rose Saharienne, No°42 Baume Midi, and No°41 Corail a Porter (pictured from left to right). No°51 is a bright tulip pink. No°41 is the perfect Coral lipstick. These are two that I will be wearing all spring and summer. No°42 is a shimmery baume, that I will use to colorlessly hydrate my lips, for days that my lips need some moisture and extra shine.
